The firm’s success is founded upon excellent knowledge in our chosen legal areas of practice.
The firm works both locally and nationally. We take care to supervise and monitor the quality of work carried out on behalf of our clients.
Over the last few years we have expanded our client base into London, the Home Counties, South and South West England. This has led to the development of an innovative practice in which the majority of our fee earners are self employed consultants.
We have a small central office in Bridport where our partners and staff continue to run the firm and support consultants who run their own practices in England and Wales.
Our consultants work from home or have their own offices and are free to take on as much or as little work as they wish.
The role model for a consultant is a motivated experienced lawyer (3 years PQE and a good PII record) who is an excellent networker and who wishes to be free to organise their home / working life themselves. Therefore it suits people who want to combine work with family responsibilities; those who enjoy working on their own; and those who want to undertake a large caseload without having to deal with the administration. We are of the opinion that people work better when they have control of their working lives and earnings and are satisfied with their working conditions.
We have embraced the new technology that makes our practice possible. We have a server which allows remote access, a secure intranet and are looking into other ways to ensure distance does not impede communication or effectiveness and allows people from anywhere in the country to work without difficulty under our supervision.
We run an internet-based conveyancing and probate case management system, and we are considering video conferencing.
